What is everything I need (or want) when I buy a Mac?

Hi, I have a desktop and a laptop PC and it's time to update my desktop PC (ie, my desktop is old). I have Vista on my laptop and 98 on my desktop. Anyway I think I'm going to get a Mac (probably iMac majority). What is all the hardware and software recommend getting When I buy my Mac also some side issues (very grateful if you replied, but not necessary. Just saves me doing other questions): 1. When i was looking at the website of Apple iMacs have MacPro and MacMini screens but do not. Why is it? 2. Do you recommend Macs over us? 3. If a disc that I use on my pc (eg Sims 2 DVD version tree or plant) in the mac will it work? 4. Can you get Microsoft Office on the Mac? 5. If so what programs (word? Powerpoint? Editor? Etc) 6. Are there any other software that I recommend buy for my Mac (I like photography and film, but all worth / good) 7. Is the limited Mac software? Thanks
