Graphics Card! Tech Q?

Hello, Iive in Perth, WESTERN AUSTRALIA (No Perthshire United Kingdom), I am currently running this for my PC. OS: Windows XP Speed: Pentium 4 2.34Ghz (Intel Core2 Duo) RAM: 2GB DDR2 Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GTS 512 MB that you want to upgrade to 768 MB (Installation a 256MB card) What is the best card to buy to install on this machine, and where will I get at the cheapest price. "I can use the new card NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTX? And are "Netplus" or "Ple" computers the best stores to go to?? Thanks, sensible answers only with spelling exact parts and store names please.

CPU Confusing indeed, but never recorded Pentium4 2.34ghz, or supported DDR2 ram, so I guess a Core2Duo E6550, which should be fine. Geforce 8600GTS (regardless of ram on board) is a range of graphics cards, media, think of it as one of Radeon9600/Geforce6600 today. In short, it was almost as fast as expected. So I would suggest replacing it with 8800GT 512MB. Or a Radeon HD3850 512 MB if you are short on cash.
