I have a laptop computer with vga output. I also have a tv with 2 hdmi inputs. How can I output my pc to tv?

The laptop is a Sony PCG-K25. The tv is a Sony 46E2000 with 2 hdmi inputs. 3 or 4 component inputs. 1 or 2 composite inputs. And a s video input. I want to use my television to output what shows up on my computer screen. I don’t care so much about outputting sound, but just mainly want the picture. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I figured I might could convert the vga to dvi and then dvi to hdmi, but this seems like a whole lot of trouble and it seems that there should be an easier way to do this.

a cheaper option, is to go from vga to composite, however If your laptop has a VGA output, it probably also has an S-video output too. And and s-video cable will cost a fraction of any converter. VGA to DVI is a very cheap convert, just a simple adapter, same with DVI to HDMI, another simple adapter, that might be your best bet
